POW is an organization made up of the entire winter sports community - athletes, weekenders and first-timers. It’s up to us to stop this trend. Together, we can Protect Our Winters.
Your annual membership in POW will provide us with necessary funds to take steps to reverse climate change. We will use your membership dollars to:
- Develop programs to educate and inspire the winter sports community as to what each of us can do now to contribute to the solution. We’ve got to change our habits as it relates to the products we use and the way we impact our environment every day.
- 1% For The Planet. Working with the largest companies in the industry to take a percentage of their profits and dedicate them to POW to help reduce carbon emissions.
- Support renewable energy and sustainable development projects. POW will awards grants to specific renewable energy projects and will work with local resorts and mountain towns to generate awareness and focus their efforts towards a more environmentally responsible carbon footprint.
