With the contributions we receive from our partners, during the past year Protect Our Winters has funded a number of Solar 4R Schools projects to provide students with a hand-on education  about the functions and benefits of solar power.  The program places solar panels on school rooftops, learning kiosks in the classroom and teachers with a curriculum package that uses the web-based, real-time data generated by each installation to provide students with a comprehensive, interactive learning experience.

We’re totally behind this program and plan to continue the installations throughout 2009.  If you’re interested in funding this program for a school near you, let us know.
